Before the refinery and the BP township were built, Ghadir Bay was home to a community of fishermen. As the refinery project gathered pace the fishing community was relocated to the east of Ghadir to a new settlement created for them which became known as Al Khaisa. Nick Ward sent in these pictures which give you a glimpse of the before and after of Ghadir Bay.
